Glittering stars to descend on Channai for fmsci 2021 Awards gala

Chennai, June 14: After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (Fmsci), the National governing body for the sport, will be hosting their annual Awards gala at the Crowne Plaza hotel, here on Wednesday, June 15.

The awards function will bring together all the 2021 National champions in various formats of motorsport besides a host of aficionados and special invitees.

Mr. P Kandaswamy, Director General of Police, and Director, Directorate Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, is the chief guest at the function.

At the Awards function, the Fmsci will also honour the teams, besides promoters and sponsors involved in the sport.

“Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we could not run the full bouquet of National Championship events across various formats. However, motorsport has bounced back this season which should see a busy period of activities. Despite the many challenges they faced due to the pandemic, the response from the competitors has been heartening and the Fmsci thanks them for their participation.

“Having said that, our thanks also go out to the promoters, organizers, sponsors, Media, volunteers and officials, and all the sporting and technical commissions for their support and involvement,” said FMSCI president Akbar Ebrahim.

The programme commences at 11:30 am with a “Meet and Greet” session followed by lunch and the Awards ceremony.
