Indian F1 Track has been renamed as Buddh International Circuit

Organizers of the inaugural 2011 Indian grand prix have renamed the New Delhi circuit to Buddh International Circuit. Currently under construction in the Uttar Pradesh state and scheduled to host its first race in October, the track was previously called the Jaypee International Race Circuit. The 5.14-kilometer Buddh International Circuit has been designed by German architect and racetrack designer Herman Tilke, the man behind the race tracks in countries like Malaysia, Bahrain, China, according to Jaypee Sports International Ltd., the promoters of the event. The track has 16 turns and its highest point of elevation is 14 meters. It can handle a top speed of about 320 kilometer per hour for an F1 car. It also comes with its own logo, revealed by Jaypee Sports Monday evening.
